This is an eight-year-old Speyside single malt, released under the &Whisky label and bottled by Atom Labs at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The style is clearly sherry-led, with dried fruit, chocolate and soft spice. Palomino influence, oak and oxidative maturation form the idea behind the bottling.
On the nose there are chocolate biscuit, honeyed barley, raisins and dried apricot, with hickory wood, pecan and pepper. The palate brings jam on grain bread, cherries and almonds beside malty chocolate, with a very faint earthy note and a little maple syrup. The long finish combines sherry-soaked fruit, ginger biscuit and woody cask spice.
