This is the 2022 Special Release of Oban 10 Year Old single malt, bottled at 57.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle. New Oban bottlings are uncommon.
The whisky was first matured in a combination of refill and new American oak casks, then given further time in casks seasoned with Amontillado sherry. This adds a refined, restrained sherry character to a malt that is softly smoky and briny.
Expect creaminess and wine-poached fruit.
