Oban 14 Year Old is a Highland single malt, the Western Highland representative in Diageo's Classic Malts series. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle and comes in a box.
It is a full-blooded, fruity malt with a whiff of heather and more than a hint of smoke. The colour is olive gold.
The nose is rich and sweet, with oranges, lemons and pears, sea-salt and peaty smoke. The palate is full, rich and almost oily, with late autumn fruits such as dried figs, honey-sweet spices and a smoky, malty dryness. The finish is long and smooth-sweet, with oak, dryness and a grain of salt.
