Octomore 13.3 is a five-year-old Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, made entirely from Concerto barley grown on Octomore Farm and harvested in 2015. It was distilled in 2016 from malt peated to 129.3 PPM, and bottled in 2022 at 61.1% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and free of added colour. Maturation combined first-fill ex-American whiskey casks with second-fill European oak casks that previously held Rivesaltes or Ribera del Duero red wine. The nose offers malt sugar, gentle peat smoke, green apple, melon, apricot, rose and ginger biscuit. The palate is soft, velvety and oily, with honey, lemon peel, shellfish and marzipan, as smoke builds. The finish is long, with sea salt, grilled fruit and charred wood.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
