Octomore 16.2 is a five-year-old heavily peated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, distilled in 2019 and bottled in 2025 at 58.1% ABV. It belongs to the series called The Impossible Equation and comes in a 70cl bottle.
The barley is Concerto, grown on the Scottish mainland.
It is usually described as having a nose of peat smoke and brine with a subtle touch of vanilla from bourbon casks. The palate is intensely smoky, with citrus zest, orchard fruits and a spicy edge. The finish brings peat and oak, with a lingering warmth.
