Octomore 16.3 is a five-year-old, heavily peated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled in 2025 at 61.6% and presented as the farm edition of Series 16. It is made entirely from Concerto barley grown on Church Field at Octomore Farm, and the malt measures 189.5 PPM.
The whisky matured entirely on Islay in bourbon, Sauternes and Pedro Ximénez casks. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose offers flowering heather, distant bonfire smoke, barley sugar, fresh bread and citrus zest, with the peat held back. Honeyed malt, toasted grain and earthiness lead the palate, joined by orchard fruit, vanilla, smoke, salt and coconut. The finish carries malt, beach-fire smoke, citrus and minerality.
