Octomore 17.2 is a heavily peated single malt from Bruichladdich, part of the 17th series of Octomore. It is bottled at cask strength.
The .2 releases are made from 100% Scottish barley and shaped by maturation in a variety of wine casks, with the exact make-up set for each edition.
The notes describe strong peat smoke on the nose with sweet malt and toasted oak. The palate is rich and oily, with smoky malt, sweet spice and darker fruit, and the finish is long, with earthy peat, smoke and spicy oak.
