This Octomore is a five-year-old single malt made from Octomore Farm's 2015 Islay barley, peated to 129.3 PPM. It matured in first-fill American whiskey casks together with second-fill European oak casks, Rivesaltes and Ribera del Duero, and is bottled at 61.1% ABV.
The nose offers vanilla, brown sugar, green apple and smoke. The palate is oily, with sea salt caramel, coconut and marzipan, and the finish carries lingering maritime peat and dried grass.
