Octomore Edition 16.2 is a heavily peated Islay single malt, bottled at 58.1% ABV and 101.4 ppm in a 70cl bottle.
Its maturation has an unusual second stage. A vatting of Bordeaux wine casks and Oloroso sherry casks spent a further year in Madeira and Moscatel casks.
On the palate it has a strong personality, with a very rich smoky style alongside candied, spiced sweetness.
