Octomore Edition 17.2 (70cl, 59.5%)

Octomore 17.2 is a heavily peated single malt from Bruichladdich on Islay, bottled in a 70cl bottle at 59.5% ABV. It is distilled from 100% Scottish mainland Concerto barley, malted to 81.0 PPM. The spirit spent time in French oak that had held Californian red wine, then in bourbon casks, before being finished in first-fill port barriques. This particular combination of casks had not been used for Octomore before. The resulting flavour profile is described as peppery, with citrus and berries.
