Old Argyll is a 12 year old blended Scotch whisky from the 1960s, bottled by Ballantyne Stewart & Co. Ltd.
The nose is soft and mellow, with vanilla, dried fruit and a touch of leather or wax, and some bottles show a hint of sherry sweetness and light smoke. The palate is smooth and rounded, with toffee, malted barley and gentle oak spice, along with honeycomb and dried apricot. The finish is medium to long, with lingering vanilla, nutty warmth and a faint earthy or herbal note.
