Old Bardstown is a Kentucky straight bourbon in a 75cl bottle, bottled at 50% ABV. It is an Estate Bottled-in-Bond whiskey, made as a tribute to a Thoroughbred racehorse foaled in 1952 and named after the city of Bardstown.
The horse was bred and raced by Calumet Farms and won 18 of its 31 starts. The bourbon carries a notable proportion of malted barley in the mash, at 15%, and is fermented with Kentucky limestone water.
