Old Big Peat is a small batch Islay blended malt Scotch whisky from Douglas Laing, bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle for LMDW's 60th anniversary. It has no added colouring and is not chill filtered.
Tasting notes describe a nose of smoked black tea leaves, gingerbread, ripe pear and sea salt. The palate brings lemon peel, honey, a touch of sea salt and oatmeal biscuits, with a slight hint of chocolate truffle. The finish carries camphor, tobacco, aniseed and a light touch of caramel.
