Old Carter American Whiskey OC-6 is a 19 year old single barrel straight American whiskey from Mark Carter's Old Carter Whiskey Co. in Kentucky. It is bottled at barrel strength, 140.6 proof (70.3% ABV), without chill filtering, and comes in its original box.
The whiskey comes from a short barrel, a smaller-than-standard cask, and filled 56 bottles. Each one is hand-labelled by Sherri Carter.
The nose has antique oak, dark caramel, leather, dried cherry and tobacco. The palate is concentrated, with dark chocolate, toffee, charred wood, dried fig and baking spice, and an oily texture. The finish is very long and drying, led by oak.
