Very Small Batch 2-CFB is the second Carter's Friends release from Old Carter Whiskey Co., a straight bourbon bottled at barrel strength, 64.8% ABV, in Louisville, Kentucky. The company is the project of Mark and Sherri Carter, and the Carter's Friends series sits alongside its numbered batches as occasional releases made outside normal distribution. Nothing was added after the barrels were emptied, so the strength is simply where the whiskey landed. The style is dense, sweet and oak-driven. The nose offers dark caramel, vanilla, brown sugar, toasted oak and baking spice, while the palate adds dark fruit and cinnamon. The finish is long and warming.
