A straight bourbon aged four years and bottled at 50% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is a high-rye bourbon, made to the Memphis-based Old Dominick's own mash bill of 52% corn, 44% rye and 4% malted barley and distilled under contract at MGP in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
It matures in new American oak barrels with a Level 4 char, heavier than the usual Level 3.
Stone fruit and dark cherries come first on the nose, then creamy vanilla and dry, peppery rye, with a hint of mint and toasted oak. The palate brings stewed cherry, caramel and toffee, with cinnamon and rye spice building. The finish is medium to long, with leather, cigar box and mint.
