Old Elgin is a 50-year-old Speyside single malt bottled by Gordon & MacPhail at 40% in a 75cl crystal decanter. It was distilled in the winter of 1940 at an undisclosed Speyside distillery and matured in oak casks there, before moving to Gordon & MacPhail's warehouse. It was bottled after 50 years in cask. It was one of several 50-year-old bottlings released under the Book of Kells label between the late 1980s and early 1990s. The hand made crystal decanter has a matching stopper and comes in a velvet-lined box with a certificate.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
