Old Elk Blended Straight Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 44%)

Old Elk Blended Straight Bourbon is bottled at 44% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The recipe uses malted barley, rye and corn, with four times more malted barley than traditional recipes, which gives the bourbon sweet, light components. The rye adds a clove spice and the corn the familiar bourbon richness. The nose is delicate, with cinnamon, cocoa, caramel and burnt oak. The palate is velvety with almost no burn, showing light cinnamon, brown sugar, cocoa and maple syrup. The finish brings a brief burst of baking spice and chocolatey caramel, then brown sugar and maple sweetness against rye spice.
