Old Ezra 7 Year Old Barrel Strength is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 58.8% ABV (117 proof). It is made from a mash of 78% corn, 10% rye and 12% barley.
The bourbon spends at least seven years maturing in fresh charred oak barrels.
The nose is lightly spicy and sweet, with vanilla, brown sugar, leather and light oak, followed by a touch of sweet cherry. On the palate come rich caramel, sweet dark fruit, spicy oak and a hint of cinnamon. The finish is well balanced and pleasant.
