Old Fitzgerald 11 Year Old Bottled in Bond is the Fall 2021 edition, the eighth national release in Heaven Hill's decanter series, at 50% ABV (100 proof). The barrels were distilled in spring 2010 and drawn from rickhouse EE at the Bernheim Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky.
It is a wheated bourbon, with wheat as the secondary grain, and meets the bottled in bond standard of one distillery and one distilling season. The decanter is an ornate diamond shape inspired by a 1950s Old Fitzgerald design.
The nose is bright, with cinnamon, vanilla, caramel and oak spice. The palate is rich and velvety, with honey, butterscotch, brown sugar, toasted oak, plums, peaches, figs and tree nuts. The finish is warm and sweet, with dark fruit and milk chocolate.
