Old Fitzgerald 16 Year Old Bottled-in-Bond Decanter 100 Proof (75cl, 50%)

This is a 16-year-old Old Fitzgerald, a wheated Kentucky straight bourbon from Heaven Hill, bottled in bond at 100 proof (50% ABV). It comes in a 75cl diamond decanter. The decanter shape is inspired by the original 1950s Old Fitzgerald bottle. Bottled-in-bond means the whisky comes from a single season and a single distillery, and the tax strip records when the barrels were distilled and bottled. The nose combines dried apricot, apple peel, caramel, nuts and toasted oak. The palate has a butterscotch core with dried apple, raisins, vanilla and a hint of black pepper. The finish is warm and lasting, with soft caramel.
