Old Fitzgerald Bottled in Bond 10 Year Old Spring 2024

This is the Spring 2024 edition of Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond, a ten-year-old bourbon from Heaven Hill. A new edition is released each spring and fall, and the packaging takes its cue from an original 1950s Old Fitzgerald diamond decanter. The brand was first registered in 1884. Heaven Hill bought it in 1999 and began distilling it at Bernheim Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky. The nose offers sweet cherry, vanilla, caramel, brown sugar, pear, oak, cedar and butterscotch. On the palate come caramel, vanilla, brown sugar, light oak, subtle cherry, mild tannins and black pepper. The finish is fairly long and warm, with building pepper, lingering sweetness, dry oak and a little char.
