Old Fitzgerald Bottled in Bond 13 Year 2019 (75cl, 50%)

Old Fitzgerald Bottled in Bond 13 Year is a wheated Kentucky straight bourbon from Heaven Hill in Bardstown, in its 2019 release. It comes in a decanter-style bottle of 75cl at 100 proof (50% ABV), as the Bottled-in-Bond designation requires. Heaven Hill revived the Old Fitzgerald name in 2018 as a Bottled-in-Bond decanter series. Wheat replaces rye as the secondary grain, which gives a softer, sweeter profile built around vanilla, caramel and dried fruit. It is deep amber with mahogany highlights. The nose is caramel, baked apple, vanilla custard and dried apricot. The palate is full-bodied and silky, with toffee, dried fruit and baking spice. The finish is long and warm, with caramel and vanilla fading to dry oak.
