This is a 7 year old Old Fitzgerald Prime, a wheated Kentucky straight bourbon distilled and aged at the original Stitzel-Weller Distillery in Louisville. It was released in 1970 at 43.4% ABV in a white ceramic decanter with gold accents, made to mark the centennial of The Ohio State University, 1870 to 1970. Stitzel-Weller opened in 1935 under Julian "Pappy" Van Winkle Sr. and stopped producing in 1992. Wheat takes the place of rye as the secondary grain. The decanter carries centennial artwork with an illustrated stadium and campus scene and a rounded gold-topped stopper. The original Old Fitzgerald Prime branding appears on it, with a vintage red tax strip over the stopper.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
