Old Forester – 100 Proof Bourbon (1L, 50%)

Old Forester 100 Proof is a Kentucky bourbon bottled at 50% ABV, in a 1 litre bottle. It is made in Louisville and matured in new American white oak casks. A high rye content gives a firm spiciness alongside caramel and vanilla, and it is bottled without added colour. Old Forester has made bourbon since 1870 and was the first bourbon brand sold consistently in sealed glass bottles. The nose offers caramel, orange peel and spice, with vanilla and toasted oak. On the palate come maple syrup, dark caramel, cinnamon and rye spice, with roasted nuts from the cask. The finish is long, spicy and pleasantly dry.
