Old Forester 117 Series High Angels' Share Barrels #001 is a Kentucky straight bourbon in a 375ml bottle, bottled at 110 proof (55% ABV). It is the first release in the 117 Series.
The series takes its name from Old Forester's address, 117 W. Main Street on Louisville's Whiskey Row. This bourbon comes from barrels that lost an unusually high share of their volume to evaporation during ageing, the angels' share. That loss concentrates the flavour and strength of the spirit that remains.
