Old Forester 1910 Old Fine Whiskey is a double-barrelled Kentucky straight bourbon from Louisville, bottled at 93 proof (46.5% ABV) in a 75cl bottle. It is the fourth and final expression in the Whiskey Row Series. The name recalls a fire on the bottling line in 1910, which forced mature whiskey to be re-barrelled. The second barrel is filled at a low 100 proof, which lets more sweet wood sugars dissolve into the spirit. On the palate it is smooth and sweet, with rich wood sugars from the second barrelling, and the finish is clean and crisp.
