Old Forester 1910 Old Fine Whisky

Old Forester 1910 Old Fine Whisky is a double-barrelled Kentucky bourbon from Louisville, part of the Whiskey Row Series made by Brown-Forman. After its first maturation, the bourbon goes into a second, heavily charred oak barrel, a step that recreates a production accident from 1910. The colour is a dark bronze. The nose layers buttercream, sticky toffee, cedar and apricot. On the palate it is smooth and full-bodied, with oatmeal raisin cookies, milk chocolate, caramel corn, cinnamon and nutmeg, and a viscous but slightly dry texture. The finish brings charred oak and clean spice.
