Old Forester – 1924 10-Year-Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky (75cl, 50%)

Old Forester 1924 is a 10 year old Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 100 proof in a 75cl bottle as an annual release. It commemorates 1924, when Old Forester acquired barrels from distilleries closed during Prohibition and bottled the whisky from them. Old Forester kept operating through that period as one of six holders of a medicinal licence issued by the federal government. The nose is caramel, vanilla and oak with hints of dark fruit and spice. The palate balances sweet and spicy notes of toffee, cinnamon and a touch of smokiness, and the finish is long and smooth.
