Old Forester – Birthday Bourbon 12 Year 2015 Release (75cl)

This is the 2015 edition of Old Forester Birthday Bourbon, a Kentucky straight bourbon aged for 12 years and released on 2 September 2015. It comes in a 750ml bottle. The series is released once a year on the birthday of Old Forester's founder, George Garvin Brown. Each edition is a small-batch selection of 12 year old barrels chosen by the master distiller, and the proof and barrel make-up change from year to year. The nose is caramel, toasted oak, vanilla and gentle dried fruit. The palate shows toffee, baking spice, dark fruit and a warm grain sweetness. The finish is long and warming, with barrel char, vanilla and oak spice.
