Old Forester Birthday Bourbon 2018 Release (75cl, 50.5%)

Old Forester Birthday Bourbon 2018 is a 12-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 50.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It was distilled on 9 June 2006 and drawn from 120 barrels: 93 from the third floor of Warehouse J and 27 from the third floor of Warehouse I. The Birthday Bourbon is released each year on 2 September, the birthday of founder George Garvin Brown. This edition is the first to be bottled at the Old Forester Distilling Co. on Louisville's Historic Whiskey Row. The nose offers caramel, vanilla, toasted oak and a gentle rye spice. The palate brings toffee, dark fruit, cinnamon and grain sweetness, and the finish is long and warming, with barrel char, vanilla and spice.
