This is the 2022 release of Old Forester Birthday Bourbon, a small-batch Kentucky straight bourbon in a 750ml bottle. It came out on 2 September 2022, the birthday of Old Forester's founder, George Garvin Brown, in the 20th anniversary era of the series.
The whiskey is a small batch of hand-selected barrels, each 12 years old. Brown established Old Forester in Louisville in 1870, and it is known as America's first commercially bottled bourbon, sealed in glass and signed by Brown himself.
