Old Forester is a Kentucky straight bourbon, made since 1870 and now owned by Brown-Forman. The label calls it the first bottled bourbon. It is bottled at 43% (86 proof) in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is soft and floral, with hints of mint, tobacco leaf and vanilla. The palate starts sharp, then softens, with oak, corn and rye. The finish is rather dry, with a touch of vanilla.
