This is a single barrel, barrel strength Kentucky straight bourbon from Old Forester in Louisville, selected by Cork & Barrel. It comes from Warehouse K, Floor 8, and is bottled at 133.9 proof (66.95% ABV) in a 750ml bottle, uncut and unfiltered. Floor 8 sits near the top of the rick house, where large seasonal temperature swings are said to push the whiskey deep into the charred oak. The nose brings rich caramel, vanilla, toasted oak, dark cherry and baking spice. The palate is bold and concentrated, with butterscotch, charred wood, dark fruit and cinnamon, and the finish is long and warm with lingering vanilla and spice.
