Batch 2 of Old Forester's 1910 Extra Old, a Kentucky straight bourbon from The 117 Series, bottled at 46.5% ABV in a 37.5cl bottle. It starts from the brand's 1910 Old Fine Whisky recipe, itself a recreation of a batch from fire-damaged barrels that the company of founder George Garvin Brown bottled rather than discarded. For this expression the whisky spent additional time in second-fill barrels, which gives a deeper, more concentrated and oak-forward character. The 117 Series is the Louisville distillery's outlet for limited, experimental releases, bottled on Whiskey Row.
