Old Grand-Dad 100 Proof Bonded (1L, 50%)

This is Old Grand-Dad Bonded, a Kentucky bourbon with a rye-rich recipe, in a 1 litre bottle. It follows the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897: it comes from one distiller and one distilling season, matures for at least four years and is bottled at exactly 100 US proof, which is 50%. The nose brings cinnamon, citrus peel and toasted oak, with a touch of dried fruit. The palate is medium in strength, with sweet vanilla and subtle dried fruit alongside a warmth from the rye. The finish is long, with a peppery spice.
