Old Grand-Dad Bonded Kentucky Straight Bourbon (75cl, 50%)

Old Grand-Dad Bonded is a Kentucky straight bourbon at 50% ABV (100 proof), in a 75cl bottle. It is made to a high-rye recipe first bottled in 1882, and was named by third-generation distiller Colonel R.B. Hayden in honour of his grandfather, Basil Hayden. As a Bottled-in-Bond whiskey it is the product of one distillery and one distilling season, aged for at least four years. The high-rye mash bill gives a lighter, spicier character. The palate is typically described as sweet, sour and woody, with spice, caramel, oak and fruit.
