Old Grand-Dad Classic 80 Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon (1L, 40%)

Old Grand-Dad Classic is a four-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 80 proof, or 40%, in a 1 litre bottle. Its recipe follows historic, rye-forward grain mixes and deliberately uses more rye, which adds a clear spiciness to a light style. It is chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The nose opens with vanilla and caramel, followed by cinnamon, a fine citrus note, light spice and gentle oak. The palate is creamy and soft, with sweet caramel, toffee and candyfloss, while spice and oak give shape and a slight waxy impression rounds off the texture. The medium finish ends on oak with a light, lasting spice.
