Old Grand-Dad Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a bourbon bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
The name goes back to Basil Hayden, a distiller known for a bourbon made with a higher percentage of rye. He passed the craft to his son and then to his grandson.
That grandson, Colonel R.B. Hayden, was the third-generation distiller, and he named the whiskey Old Grand-Dad in honour of his grandfather.
