This is an 11 year old Talisker in the Old Malt Cask range from Hunter Laing, in a 70cl bottle.
It comes from a single refill sherry butt that was filled in 2011, and it was bottled at 50% ABV after 11 years in the cask.
The nose is peppery, with peat and smoke. Peat returns on the palate alongside bonfire ash and caramel, and the finish is long, with lingering smoke and ash.
