This is a limited-edition single barrel straight rye whiskey from the James E. Pepper Distillery, drawn from Barrel 18 and bottled in a 75cl bottle. It is bottled at cask strength, 55% ABV (110 proof), uncut and unfiltered.
The nose is sharp rye grain, dark caramel, citrus peel and heavy barrel char. The palate is thick and rich, with black pepper and cinnamon softened by vanilla bean, dark chocolate and toasted oak. The finish is very long and warming, leaving spicy rye and brown sugar.
