A 12 year old blended malt from Old Perth, bottled by Morrison & Mackay as a single cask release at 43.9% in a 70cl bottle. The malt was distilled in 2004 at the Macallan and Highland Park distilleries.
It is Number 1 in the Old Perth limited batch releases, with 666 bottles drawn from the one cask.
The nose is rich and dense, with brown sugar, dark toffee, honey, raisins and candied orange peel, and a gentle peat smoke. The palate is chewy, with prunes, dates and bitter cocoa. The finish is long and dry, with dark chocolate easing towards milk chocolate and a soft trace of sherry sweetness.
