Old Perth 22 Years Old 1996 (70cl, 55.2%)

Old Perth 22 Years Old is a blended malt Scotch whisky from Morrison & Mackay, distilled in 1996. It is a limited batch release drawn from a single cask, with 326 bottles filled at 55.2% in 70cl. The nose is rich and sweet, with crystallised fruit, raisins soaked in liqueur, malted oak, dark chocolate and strawberry jam, over hints of old leather and tobacco. The palate is dense and oily, with baked apple, pear, apricot and dates, then cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, candle wax and very faint peat smoke from Islay malt. The finish is long and dry, with ginger, toasted oak, sultanas, ripe berries, tobacco leaf and leather.
