Old Perth Peaty Blended Malt Number 1 Edition (70cl, 43%)

Old Perth Peaty is a blended malt Scotch whisky from Morrison & Mackay, marked as the Number 1 Edition. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The nose opens with fresh peat and wood smoke, woven with light sea and salt notes. Behind them are malted barley, vanilla, toffee and hints of green banana, citrus and apple. The palate is medium-bodied and soft, with a slightly peppery start that settles into icing sugar, liquorice, fresh ginger and almonds, with the smoke well integrated. The finish is medium to short, clean and dry, with smoky ashes, toasted wood, and a little pepper and caramel.
