Old Potrero 6 Year Old is a straight rye whiskey distilled in San Francisco by Hotaling & Co. It comes in a 70cl bottle.
The mash bill is 100% malted rye. The spirit spends six years in new American oak barrels that have been heavily toasted and charred, and it is bottled at 97 proof.
The nose brings molasses, dark chocolate, baking spice and roasted nuts. The palate is thick and chewy, with dark brown sugar, cinnamon, black pepper and a malty sweetness. The finish is long and warm, with dark cocoa and spicy rye grain.
