Old Pulteney 12 Year Old (70cl, 40%)

Old Pulteney 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt from the distillery in Wick, in Caithness, part of the Signature Collection. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle and is chill-filtered, with colouring added. The whisky matures for twelve years in hand-selected, air-dried ex-bourbon casks of American oak. Maturing on Scotland's far northern coast gives it a salty coastal note, set against bright citrus, honey and vanilla. The nose offers light citrus and vanilla with the salty air of Wick. On the palate, honey and cream come first, followed by ripe fruit and fresh spice. The finish is long, lively and distinctly salty.
