Old Pulteney 12 Year Old (70cl, 40%)

Old Pulteney 12 Year Old is a single malt from the Pulteney distillery, one of the most northerly on the Scottish mainland. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery's exposed position and its distinctive stills shape the whisky, which is distilled using traditional techniques that have become almost forgotten. It is dark amber in colour. The nose is very light and fruity, with sweet fruit and sea salt. The palate is very soft and dry, with sea salt, spice, gentle fruit and vanilla. The finish is long and sweet, turning salty towards the end.
