Old Pulteney 15 Year Old is a Highland single malt, bottled by the distillery at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It first appeared in 2018, when owner Inver House reshaped its single malt brands.
The whisky is double matured. It begins in ex-bourbon casks, then has a second maturation in sherry-seasoned Spanish oak casks. The colour is rich amber.
The nose is rich with dried fruit, ripe apple, citrus and honey, with creamy vanilla and a little chocolate and floral note behind. The palate has fragrant spices, Christmas cake, chocolate and dark toffee, and the finish carries a hint of salty sea air.
