Old Rarity De Luxe is a Scotch whisky from the 1970s, presented in a decanter. It was the deluxe brand of Bulloch & Lade, and Caol Ila is suggested as the distillery behind it, since that company held the licence. The colour is gold. The nose is not particularly smoky and rather cake-like, with fig cake, cinnamon cake, hints of cured ham, plenty of moist tobacco and a touch of mint water. The palate is soft and light but still powerful, with peat, biscuits, a salty side, cooked clams and a distinctly coastal profile.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
