Old Smuggler Finest Scotch is an older blended whisky from the 1970s, from Jas. and Geo. Stodart Ltd., Distillers, of Dumbarton.
The nose brings apricot jam, blossom honey and a hint of smoke. On the palate there is slightly sour dried fruit, mainly apricot, with a touch of smoke reminiscent of Caol Ila, and a character that can be compared to a white wine finish. The finish is very short and dry, with white wine notes lingering in the mouth.
